Brian Breslin leads student entrepreneurship at UVA as Director of The Foundry and Director of Student Entrepreneurship. Previously, he served as Director of The Launch Pad at the University of Miami, where he taught, mentored, and supported more than 250 entrepreneurs each year across the university's innovation ecosystem.
A lifelong tinkerer and builder, Brian started his first web company in 1996 and continues to build software and technology products. He is widely known for shaping the South Florida tech community through Refresh Miami, the nonprofit he founded in 2005 — now one of the state's largest networking and media organizations focused on technology and entrepreneurship, with more than 16,000 participants.
He co-founded SimCase, an education-technology startup partnering with top-tier business schools; JPEGMorgan, a web3 community; DealFlowMiami; and the Miami Tech Pod podcast. His longest-running venture, Infinimedia, evolved from web design into logistics software serving Fortune 100 companies.
Brian holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (2016) and a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia (2004).
